Accelerated Math Classes
The SaccoMath Program uses a proven, structured approach and process to provide support for Cherry Creek High School students enrolled in Honors math classes.
- Standard Lesson Lecture -For each quiz cycle, a 1.5 hour lecture is presented in a narrative form structured to ensure comprehension and retention of current class materials. These lessons are available in person, via Zoom, and a posted recording of the lesson. Students learn new concepts in advance so they can complete their homework quickly and correctly (*see specific class site for schedule).
- Sacco Sessions -Two additional weekday sessions are offered to facilitate and guide students working through the remaining SaccoProcess with two versions of practice tests and test corrections prior to taking their CCHS math class test. (*see specific class site for schedule).
- On Board Appointment -Upon registration, new students schedule to meet with our office manager to learn how to use all the resources available in the SaccoMath Program.
- Make Up Session Appointments -We have a library of all lessons, materials and practice tests along with a staffed work room where students can set appointments to complete past missed sessions.
- Get On Track Appointments - Current students can schedule to work with an instructor to make a plan and schedule extra sessions if they have fallen behind or are not doing well on class exams.
- *Finals Prep Sessions -We build on the weekly course foundation with additional reviews, a practice final, and correction sessions during December and May to prepare students for the final exam in their math class. (*see specific class site for schedule).
When done with fidelity, the skills learned by using the SaccoProcess can be transferred by students to all other subject areas as a better system of learning.
