CCHS allows students to “pass out of” Algebra 2 Honors/Trigonometry or Pre-Calculus Honors by passing a final exam in August before the school year begins, thereby “skipping” the full year course and moving on to the next level.
You need a solid A in your current math class (93% or above). (Not a B or A-.) Permission and testing arrangements must be made directly by the student’s parent(s) with the CCHS math department coordinator.
If your goal is to “skip” Algebra 2 Honors/Trigonometry or Pre-Calculus Honors you need to be ready to begin doing extra work after spring break and continue throughout the summer in order to pass the exam in August.

Students advance through the entire Cherry Creek High School Pre Calc Honors curriculum by learning concepts in an organized presentation of new knowledge supported by a review and connection of core concepts. Students work through recorded teaching lectures by Jason Saccomano, while completing accompanying packets. All lessons can be done online or in our office during our summer hours. Our center is staffed from June 5, 2023 through June 28, 2023 and July 10, 2023 through August 3, 2023, Monday through Thursday from 12pm to 6pm to guide and help students through the process assisting with questions, practice tests and test corrections. A final review and exam will be given prior to the testing that Cherry Creek High School provides.

ALGEBRA 2H TRIG FULL CURRICULUM COURSE
PRE CALC HONORS FULL CURRICULUM COURSE
Students that are advancing from Physical Science Honors into AP Chemistry often struggle with the jump in difficulty and the lack of base knowledge. We have been providing a prep course using our SaccoScience Chemistry Honors Curriculum for Cherry Creek High School Students. There are 15 chapters in the Chemistry Honors Curriculum. This is a large amount of work, and motivated students can get through all this material if they start after spring break and work through the summer.
We have found that if a student completes the first four chapters of our Chemistry Honors Curriculum it can give a good base for a student to succeed in the AP Chem class. We give you either option on the registration form.
